Energy management means “controlling energy consumption”, by improving the efficiency of systems. The aim is to limit the deleterious effects of energy consumption (waste of resources, greenhouse effect, etc.).

Energy demand management thus encompasses actions to improve energy efficiency on the part of landlords, and to understand energy consumption on the part of their customers.
