Customer needs

The transformation of Lyon’s Rue de Gerland continues. The Ginkgo project illustrates GrandLyon Habitat’s ability to rebuild the city upon the city, by reclaiming former industrial sites and transforming them into living spaces for the future. The 2-building residence has NF Habitat HQE (High Environmental Quality) certification, the E3C1 label (one of the highest levels of energy performance) and meets the Habitat Durable specifications of the Metropole de Lyon. The complex is connected to the district heating network, which provides collective heating and domestic hot water. The architecture is bioclimatic, with 100% bio-sourced insulation and wood-frame walls, all organized around a cool island. Our Eco-Touch system was chosen to optimize energy consumption, reduce costs and ensure occupant comfort.
