10 years of energy-efficient housing
Our history
OGGA was born in 2014 from three friends’ shared passion for user-friendly technology and their shared realization that too much energy is wasted in homes.
This dual concern gave birth to an energy efficiency solution that could be adopted everywhere and by everyone.
During the design process, it was quickly identified that the need to program a thermostat was an obstacle to the adoption of connected technologies. How could this step be dispensed with? By designing an automated control solution based on user behavioral analysis and a simple action on a switch to switch the heating to ECO mode.
Back to 2014. The way energy was viewed in France was very different from the way it is today. Abundant, available and relatively cheap in France, energy is not a source of concern.
France’s energy bill came to 54.6 billion euros in 2014, compared with 65.5 billion in 2013. (1) By 2022, France’s energy bill will have risen to 116.3 billion euros. This record level is due to the intense rise in the cost of fossil fuels, particularly natural gas (2), against a backdrop of reduced availability of certain nuclear reactors, a post-covid catch-up effect, and global geopolitics and the correlation between electricity and gas prices (3).
Historically, social landlords have reacted favorably to our proposal. They were sensitive to the self-programming argument put forward by our solution, because their customers, who are sometimes more reluctant to program their thermostat (the phenomenon of illectronism (to be clarified), fear of error…), are much more financially impacted by variations in energy costs.

OGGA is a Lyon-based company founded in 2014 by Mr Oger and Mr Gagnat. It specialises in designing innovative solutions to help reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. Its main objective is to support professionals, particularly in the housing and building sector, in making a more responsible energy transition. Thanks to its connected technologies, OGGA enables better day-to-day energy management while limiting the impact on the environment.
Administrative
The administrative team is available and attentive to our client-partners, assisting them with all questions related to the accounting follow-up of their projects. It ensures that all financial information is properly tracked and transparent, in order to facilitate file management. Thanks to this assistance, clients can focus on their objectives while being assured of proper administrative and accounting follow-up.
Technical and R&D
The technical and R&D team is made up of specialised engineers and developers. They are experts in advanced fields such as machine learning, algorithm creation and dynamic planning. These skills enable OGGA to design innovative and effective solutions for better energy management in homes and buildings.
